A WARM and cosy welcome awaits diners at The Bold Dragon in Weston Favell, described by manager Peter Stubbins as ‘a country pub in the middle of town’.
The food is always a big draw for customers and the Christmas menu is no exception, offering something for all tastes for what is likely to prove a busy festive period.
Served in the pub’s cosy dining room and conservatory, the Christmas menu includes a choice of parsnip soup, pate, mushroom crumble or seafood symphony for starters, followed by Turkey Wellington, roast beef with hazelnut, cranberry and Stilton crumble, herby salmon and nut roast.
The menu will be available from the end of November and throughout December and is priced at £24 per person. Booking is recommended, whether it’s for a table for two or a private party for up to 50 people, perfect for pre-Christmas office parties and family get-togethers in the run-up to the festive period. A special Party Night, with guest singer Neil Astbury, will be held on Friday, 15 December.
The Christmas Day menu is £65 per person, although it is already close to being fully booked, while the Boxing Day carvery will include three courses for £19, while on New Year’s Day an all-day breakfast will be available for those who need a pick-me-up.
The Bold Dragoon has a lively bar, comfortable lounge and a well-used games room and customers are well-served by an attractive bar snacks menu while enjoying a good range of beers, wines and spirits. Peter has focused on the cellar offerings and has introduced a range of real ales and speciality beers.
Food is served noon to 2.30pm and 6pm to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from noon to 7pm on Sunday.
