Senior management changes

IT’S the end of an era at Moore Stephens as Managing Partner Adrian Urquhart leaves the firm after more than 35 years to take on a new role as Finance Director for one of his clients.

Partner Nick Bairstow will now take on the role of Managing Partner for the Corby and Northampton offices, and two further internal promotions have been made, with Associate April Foster promoted to partner and Tax Advisor Tim Woodgates promoted to Associate.

Adrian said: “This change was not a decision I took lightly, but the opportunity to try something different for the last few years of my career was too exciting to pass up. It will be a huge wrench to leave Moore Stephens, and I will miss working with the incredibly talented team there. I’ve been blessed with having been able to work with so many wonderful clients, who I will miss hugely, but I leave knowing they will be well looked after by the Moore Stephens team.”

New Joint Managing Partner, Nick Bairstow, said: “We’re very sad to see Adrian go – he’s made an enormous contribution to the firm, particularly in helping to transform Moore Stephens locally from five small offices into two larger regional centres. We’ve grown significantly over the past 37 years, and Adrian has been an essential part of that success. We wish him all the best for the future in his new challenge.

“I am delighted however to be able to announce April and Tim’s promotions. Between them they have a wealth of experience and technical expertise, consistently deliver a first-class service and frequently going the extra mile to make a real difference to our clients. As today’s world becomes more and more automated, people remain at the heart of Moore Stephens – we invest in our people so they can add value to all our clients.”

April joined the firm in 1996, becoming an Associate in October 2004. She looks after a diverse portfolio of clients, from sole traders to partnerships and limited companies. April specialises in the healthcare sector, and supports start-ups and fledgling businesses to grow.

Tim has worked at Moore Stephens since July 2012 initially within Audit & Accounts before recently joining the Tax department. In addition to being a tax specialist, Tim is part of the team helping clients to prepare for HMRC’s new Making Tax Digital regime.
