LEADING law firm Tollers Solicitors has confirmed a merger with Simmonds Grant, a well-regarded Rutland-based practice.
Both firms’ commitment to offering genuine client focus is at the heart of the arrangement which was announced on 1 December by Duncan Nicholson, Managing Partner at Tollers Solicitors and Jeremy Simmonds, Partner at Simmonds Grant Solicitors.
Duncan said: “The firm is aware of the importance of maintaining strong and lasting relationships with its clients. Simmonds Grant have been practising in Rutland since 1979, predominantly specialising in trusts and estates, family and residential conveyancing whilst also assisting their clients with their commercial operations.
As part of the merger, former Simmonds Grant Partners, Jeremy Simmonds and Melanie Grant will remain with the continuing merged practice of Tollers LLP and will head up its operations from the existing sites in Oakham and Uppingham. Tollers will trade from these sites as Simmonds Grant part of Tollers Solicitors and so for clients it will very much be business as usual.
Jeremy Simmonds, who will be a Partner in the new practice, said: “While the legal entity may have changed, the personal approach will continue as before.”
