At the heart of growth

THE past 31 years have been the most significant in the changing face of telecommunications and dbfb have been at the heart of the growth and development of that industry within Northamptonshire for almost two decades.

Now, in the midst of a significant partnership with infrastructure builder CityFibre that will see the roll out of ultra-fast gigabit fibre connectivity to businesses across Northamptonshire, dbfb is increasing its team to cope with the increasing demand.

This goes hand in hand with dbfb’s work with clients to ensure they operate more effectively, whether that is mobiles, landline, telephone systems, fully managed IT system support, cloud or connectivity, as well as security to protect clients from the increasing threat of cyber crime.

The firm provides and installs the equipment and delivers bespoke and responsive support, embracing rapidly changing technology so that they fit with a business’s needs

Brian Kingston, who founded dbfb and is its Chairman, said: “We’ve built a company and a reputation mainly by word of mouth, because we do a good job and we find the right services and products for our customers. But this sector is growing at a frantic pace now and so we thought it was time to restructure the company and prepare for the future in a way we have never done before.”

Simon Pickering joined the company as Managing Director last year to work with Brian to build on the solid foundations that already exist. Simon, who worked in the financial sector before starting his own telecoms business in 2006, said: “The exciting thing for me about dbfb is the opportunity we have to help the local business community grow their own businesses by making full use of the services that are now available. I want Northampton to be one of the first gigabit towns in the UK because we know the benefits that will bring to the local economy.”

Other appointments include: Sam Lee as Sales Director; Jake Baxter as New Business Development Consultant, Connor Slasberg as Regional Sales Manager, Chloe-Mae McGowan as Marketing Executive and Sean Reed as Head of Solutions.

Tom Stuart is the new Customer Experience Administrator, while Elliott McGrath has joined as the firm’s first apprentice.

The new members of the team make up the 30-strong team at the newly refurbished dbfb premises in Darnell Way, Moulton Park Industrial Estate.

Brian Kingston added: “We will be making more appointments in the near future. We’ve got the set-up to really take the business to the next level and I feel we’ve got the team to help us do that now.”
