New three-year contract

LEADING horticulture company, Westland has signed a three-year transport and warehouse contract with Knights of Old to improve its supply chain activities.

Westland has worked with Knights of Old since 2013, but has now expanded its relationship with the Northamptonshire-based firm to include both warehouse and transport for many of its products, including the market leading Aftercut, Gro-Sure, Resolva and Peckish brands.

The contract will enable Westland to better serve its customers by streamlining its supply chain to be more responsive and agile.

Brandon Moss, Head of Operations for Westland, said: “We are pleased to be investing in our overall supply experience for our retailers to deliver a service that is second to none.

“Knights of Old have a good understanding of Westland’s customer base and the specific requirements for our industry. They have invested into our business and we felt they had what it takes to continue to grow with us over the next three years.”

Steven Smyth, Group Business Development Director, Knights of Old Group, said: “Over the past four years, we’ve forged a strong relationship with the team at Westland, delivering a reliable and flexible supply chain that is focused on adding value. We look forward to continuing the relationship in the future, evolving the provision of our services as both companies continue with their growth plans.”
