Charity expands engineering and manufacturing training provision

TO meet the needs of employers looking to train and develop existing staff and apprentices effectively, charitable organisation and training provider NITAL have continued with the development of their training facility.

NITAL offers engineering and manufacturing training through apprenticeships and short courses. Rated Good by Ofsted and continuously achieving high success rates, NITAL remain the strongest engineering and manufacturing training provision within Northamptonshire.

Simon Webster Head of Business Development said: “With support from RS Components we have continued to develop our electrical and electronic training room with 400V 3 phase equipment, panel building/wiring, fault finding, plus electronic equipment and technology.

“Additionally we can also offer training in hydraulics, pneumatics, electro-pneumatics and PLC control, ensuring we can truly meet the training needs of our employers.

“Alongside our apprenticeships we can also offer short courses in a number of areas; Abrasive Wheels, Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electro-Pneumatics and more. Training can be off the shelf here at NITAL’s academy or bespoke and delivered in company. With a shortage of competent, skilled engineers, there really is only one way to tackle this, grow your own, develop and train existing staff – we can help you do this.”

NITAL can also help organisations find potential candidates for apprenticeships with recruitment support. Through shared vacancy promotion the organisation will shortlist, interview and initially assess perspective candidates to identify the right aptitude and attitude.
