Firm launches new service line

NORTHAMPTON-based business advisers, Haines Watts, kicked off 2018 by expanding their service line offering further through the launch of a new Talent & Resourcing division. This accompanies previous additions in the last 18 months including VAT, Company Secretarial and Property, aimed squarely at meeting the needs and demands of their expanding client base.

Rob de Main, newly appointed Head of Talent & Resourcing, brings with him a wealth of experience from the recruitment industry, whilst also being experienced in the IT and financial services sectors.

The new service line will provide Haines Watts’ clients with a selection of recruitment related services, to enable owner-managed businesses to expand their teams, in not only a more cost-effective way, but also to recruit intelligently. The aim is to combine a robust direct sourcing approach, accompanied by an experienced in-house team, while underpinning these processes with affordable Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) recruitment technology to maximise candidate experience.

Rob said: “Finding new, skilled people is both a time-consuming and challenging exercise for business owners and is often approached half-heartedly. Most can recount disappointing hiring experiences and this is normally down to lack of candidate engagement, poor agency relationships and an absence of a hardy employer brand – with the uncertainty in the UK economy, owner managed businesses need to ensure their hiring decisions are the right ones. You must invest in the recruitment process and not just pay it lip service. By growing a business through your people, you’re more likely to achieve the mid to long-term goals than organisations who are less talent-focused. Working in partnership with you, our new service offering can help you achieve just that.”

Chris Timms, Managing Director of Haines Watts, was excited by the new addition to the region. He said: “In 2016 we launched an HR consultancy service, which has been extremely well received, so launching our Talent & Resourcing offering is another positive step forward in our service line armoury, especially as they’re so closely aligned.”

Rob De Main will also oversee the talent acquisition for the Haines Watts region structuring their own direct sourcing model and agency relationships throughout 2018. He added: “We’re keen to ensure we remain one step ahead in sourcing our own people but more importantly our clients’ future talent – it’s further testament to our commitment of helping our clients reach their Destination with Speed and Certainty”.
