School springs into action

WELLINGBOROUGH School is inviting prospective parents to visit its Pre-Preparatory School and Nursery for a School in Action morning on Tuesday, 9 May.

The event will give visitors the chance to view the School and Nursery on an ordinary teaching day, including a tour of the classrooms and opportunities to speak to staff and current pupils.

Parents will be able to observe the small class sizes, which allow for greater individual attention and for teachers to develop a close understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each pupil. This atmosphere of encouragement and support is vital for the children to flourish academically, and the dedicated teachers are committed to instilling a life-long love of learning into the children.

Children are taught in a co-educational setting, allowing pupils to learn together and develop the social skills they will need as they progress through school and into the world of employment.

The school prides itself on a strong ethos of pastoral care to create a happy and safe environment for pupils. Such a nurturing approach ensures that children can thrive in their studies and look forward to returning to school each day.

The school is open to girls and boys aged three to eight, but as part of the Wellingborough Family of Schools, the Pre-Preparatory School also offers pupils the chance to continue their educational journey all the way up to the Sixth Form. There is also a Nursery offering both full-time and part-time places. Surrounded by extensive fields, playgrounds and games pitches, the school boasts first-class facilities which underpin the children’s education.

The event will run from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesday 9 May and is open to all parents to attend with or without their children. If you would like to attend the School in Action morning, contact Michelle Codd, admissions officer, on or 01933 233434 to reserve your place.
