New sponsor on board

WITH two successful ceremonies having already cemented the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards’ place on the local calendar, the third year is likely to see the event go from strength to strength.

Testament to the recognition the awards bring, last year’s Business of the Year winner, Technocopy Solutions in Wellingborough, has come on board as a new headline sponsor for the 2018 awards, which will be presented in association with Business Times.

The printer and copier firm joins headline sponsor Stanair Industrial Doors, the Kettering firm that has supported the awards since their inception in 2016.

The 2018 SME Northamptonshire Business Awards are open to any business with fewer than 250 employees. Categories include, among others, Best New Business, Business Person of the Year, Training and Development, Apprentice of the Year and Employee of the Year, and each business is eligible to enter up to two categories.

Awards organiser Damian Cummins said: “The awards proved to be bigger and better in their second year and all the signs point to that continuing in 2018. It’s always good to welcome new supporters, and to have Technocopy Solutions on board as a headline sponsor the year after their big win makes us very proud.”

Brad Piercewright, Managing Director of Technocopy Solutions, said: “Last year we won the Service Excellence Award and were then named the overall Business of the Year and that was a fantastic boost for all of us.

“We’re delighted to now be up there as headline sponsor and look forward to recognising the talent Northamptonshire has to offer at this year’s awards.”

Martin Wall, Director of Stanair Industrial Doors, said: “It’s been a fantastic event for the past two years and we know its reputation is growing and that this year will be equally, if not more, successful.

“To see other local businesses get involved proves what an excellent event it is and how important it has become to the business community in Northamptonshire.”

Judith Halliday, editor of Business Times, added: “Each year we are impressed by the strength and depth of the entrants into each category. Like Business Times, the awards celebrate everything that is good about the small business community in Northamptonshire, and we’re delighted to be involved once again.”
