Don’t keep charity shopping a secret

CYNTHIA Spencer Hospice are encouraging everyone taking part in Secret Santa in their workplaces this Christmas to think locally and sustainably by purchasing their gifts from one of the charity’s three shops.

Retail manager, Charlotte Jones, said: “Our shops at Market Walk, St Leonard’s Road and Pondwood Close in Moulton Park are treasure troves packed full of gift ideas perfect for Secret Santa. This Christmas we’re encouraging everyone to think about sustainability and supporting their local hospice as buying from us will help save our shops.

“Businesses can add Good Cause Santa Claus to their Corporate Social Responsibility policy and know they are doing their bit for a local charity while the staff can compete against each other to see who can pick up the best present for whoever they pick out of the hat.”

Cynthia Spencer’s shops stock a whole host of gift ideas, both brand new and donated, from books, DVDs, toiletry sets, accessories and many fashion items so there is lots of choice and plenty of surprises. The Market Walk and St Leonard’s Road shops are open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am until 5pm and the shop at Pondwood Close is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 4pm plus every second Saturday of the month from 9am until 3pm.

Businesses can download a poster and email template to advertise Secret Santa around their workplace from the Cynthia Spencer website and festive labels have also been created for all of the Secret Santa’s to stick on their gifts.
