THERE are many reasons that the Bombay Palace, one of Northampton’s longest-standing Indian restaurants, is the ideal place to celebrate the festive season.

Akbari cham cham combines chicken tikka cooked in a specially blended spicy sauce while silsila chicken is cooked in the chef’s special sauce made with mango chutney and fresh spices. Customers who follow a vegetarian diet can opt for favourites like chilli paneer which is a stir fry of cottage cheese, peppers, onions and green chillies or maybe a healthy option like vegetable susto or vegetable lazeez, a combination of potato, cauliflower and chick peas cooked with special spices.
The Christmas menu of five courses priced at £24.90 per person or £14.90 for under 12s includes a free bottle of sparkling cava for tables of four or more.
Main course choices are roast turkey, kurzi lamb steak, vegetable bahaar or murgh mossalah, a chicken for two people cooked in special spices with keema sauce. Dessert is either Christmas pudding or rosmalai, a traditional Indian dessert. Guests can take their own drinks at no extra charge or take advantage of special offers like a ten per cent discount for customers dining in and takeaway Sunday to Thursday.
