Expect a warm welcome at the pub, which has a team headed up by general manager Kelly Gall. Kelly and proprietors Gerry and Bob Rendle have been built up the pub’s reputation over 23 years and have a team that takes pride in providing a first-class service.

Freshly prepared, home-cooked meals are a real attraction and the Christmas menu promises to live up to expectations.

This year’s menu includes chef’s chicken and chorizo pate, grilled tiger prawn kebabs drizzled with garlic butter, traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings, fillet of sea bass on a bed of crushed new potatoes, red pesto and tomato sauce, braised pork fillet in a creamy Dolcelatté cheese sauce, finished with various tempting desserts, including the obvious favourite Christmas pudding and brandy sauce. If you’re after a party atmosphere the party nights are very popular and include a disco and late bar.

The Stag’s Head has a 50-seater beamed restaurant, 2-seater cellar restaurant area, lounge, a separate bar area and an enclosed garden area.

Awards include Trip Advisor’s Certificate of Excellence, only awarded to ten per cent of businesses worldwide, and runner-up in the Rural Community Pub of the Year category in Carlsberg Uk Northamptonshire Food and Drinks Awards 2012/13.
