Think outside the Christmas box

THIS year Anna and Philippa Jeyes have thought outside the Christmas box to present an alternative selection that suits your choice of celebrating, during daytime, evening parties or weekend festivities.

Christmas Sundays at Jeyes of Earls Barton from 17 November until 22nd December from midday to 4pm mean six special Sundays in the run up to Christmas. Jeyes will open its doors for the afternoon, welcoming visitors to festive shop, lunch and the chance to explore Jeyes. Northamptonshire pianist John Wiseman from Wise The Music, will be playing from 1pm to 3pm every Sunday.

The regular Apothocoffee Shop menu will be available with added traditional Christmas treats adapting the menu to suit dietary requirements. Jeyes is are fully licensed so you can share a tipple or two with friends while enjoying your refreshments.

Georgina Jeyes will be manning the gift shop for Christmas shopping, helping customers choose and wrap. She said: “We know many have been gathering their presents well in advance but if, like us, you have left it to the last minute we will be there. Next year, you say, will be different – it never is!”

If you are organising a table from your place of work, your fitness class, your club or hobby society then the conservatory at Jeyes is the perfect place to be. On offer is traditional Christmas lunch, festive afternoon teas or simply let your group choose from the varied menu. Pre-booked Christmas Supper and Shopping evenings are available too (Monday to Thursday).

Take time to enjoy this festive season whether it be over a chatty coffee and mince pie, warmed with clotted cream (don’t forget to make a wish as you taste the season’s first one), a leisurely lunch, or an afternoon party. Friends and family get-togethers, reunions, time to share memories of the year, even time to announce your resolutions for the New Year (harder to break if witnessed), shared laughter for the worst joke in the cracker and why not swap those secret Santas in the festive conservatory.

Mums and tots can have a Christmas Pram Party or a Buggy Ball while the little ones play in the Tractor Ted area and have their photo taken with Rupert, Paddington or Pooh.

Special Sunday Openings on 17, 24 November,1, 8, 15, and 22 December midday to 4pm.
