The Corby company was founded 11 years ago by Alan Buckle and Jamie Burton to ensure that customers’ vehicles were kept running to the highest standards, with the downtime that a breakdown or even a regular service causes kept to a minimum.
“No one wants vehicles standing idle, it’s not efficient, so we do a lot of our work when the vehicles are off the road anyway, maximising efficiency and making sure that any spot check that is carried out doesn’t throw up any unexpected problems that can mean a vehicle being forced off the road, or the driver and the company being fined,” said Alan Buckle.
“So we have a regular arrangement with some larger clients to be at their premises at the end of the day, when the vehicles come back empty. We work on the vehicles, carrying out all necessary checks and doing the work that is needed before the vehicles need to be loaded early the following morning ready to go out on the road again.”
The mobile team can respond to emergency call outs as well as scheduled services and MOT preparation and presentation, while the admin team uses state-of-the-art software to ensure that all customer documentation is available immediately should a client ever need to present it. In addition, recent staff training means that Northants Commercials can now offer tail-lift and moveable deck servicing and repairs, including LOLER inspections.
Northants Commercials also stocks a wide range of parts, and only genuine replacement parts are used, unless otherwise requested.
