THE County Ground Events Venue has one of the largest event spaces in Northamptonshire, capable of hosting 550 people for a dinner dance or 1,000 in a theatre style in its indoor arena, which poses unrestricted views front to back, has recently undergone extensive redevelopment.

THE County Ground Events Venue has one of the largest event spaces in Northamptonshire, capable of hosting 550 people for a dinner dance or 1,000 in a theatre style in its indoor arena, which poses unrestricted views front to back, has recently undergone extensive redevelopment.
The Northants Cricket Ground, based on Abington Avenue, has, over the past 18 months, been going through numerous changes, which started with the cricket club buying the ground outright and rolling out a refurbishment programme to modernise the facilities across all of the executive boxes and the Thompson Suite, dubbed the Players’ Lounge on match day, with the Old Speckled Hen Lounge set to be the final area to be completely refurbished before Christmas 2014.
As of January 2014, the club is proud to announce it has brought catering in house, removing the third party catering company, formerly operating both non-match day and match day catering, from the business. The club has retain the service of several key personnel to move the business forward, including, part of the commercial set up, Lee Griffiths, who brings over a decade of operational and event sales experience will be driving the sales forward.
