In addition, The Aviator Hotel, the main building of which dates back to 1930s and was formerly the pilots clubhouse and officers mess, heavily utilised during the Second World War, offers 50 en-suite bedrooms, with a comfortable three-star standard of accommodation. The new areas, although built more recently, were specially designed in the Art Deco style to complement the main building.
The Conference Centre at The Aviator is one of the largest in the UK, capable of accommodating a wide range of events from product launches and conferences, to wedding receptions and dinner dances.
The Hangar One and Hangar Two suites, both formerly aircraft hangars, have been fully reconditioned and are now fully equipped for entire event needs.
Hangar One is the larger of the two, and is a large open space, ideal for product launches, exhibitions and conferences. The suite is complete with private bar, extensive lighting, and kitchens and can accommodate up to 500 delegates. Hangar Two, which adjoins Hangar One, is now a custom-built conferencing facility for up to 200 delegates. Facilities include a purpose-built staging area, full mixing desk, twin zone sound, CD and DVD player, ceiling-mounted LCD projector and 12ft projector screen.
