Embracing new concepts

By George Rex

Stagecraft

STAGECRAFT are celebrating having been in business for approaching 34 years and for the team, that’s a timely reminder of what a rollercoaster ride it has been.

Our survival is recognised in a number of different ways.

Firstly, the quality of our workmanship, our innovative designs and our management skills are purely down to our dedicated workforce, who work tirelessly to attain perfection. We must also thank our supply chain for their support throughout the years and we must acknowledge that without the clients who use our services year after year we would not have a business.

Our business has evolved from what started as stage building in 1985, hence the name Stagecraft, into what our business is today. Stagecraft are able to design, manufacture and install exhibition stands, outdoor event displays, event vehicles, catering units both indoor and container type conversions.

Our portfolio of works is immense, to the point that we will design, build and install any display that can be designed. Last year saw our crews in San Francisco, Milan, Abu Dhabi, Cologne, Barcelona, Vienna, and already for the remainder of 2018 and in to 2019 we are in the planning and design stages for displays in Dubai, Singapore, Las Vegas, New York, Geneva, Russia and Poland

Adding new concepts to an existing business is a challenge but Stagecraft have managed to enter the pop-up world, designing, manufacturing and installing kiosks in shopping centres – the most recent being for Cool Eyes at the M G designer outlet in Mansfield. This involved designing to a set of strict criteria, especially the materials, which all have to be class O and conform to a specific flame spread. We have now worked in most of the shopping centres in the UK, most recently with Uber, the online taxi concern at Manchester’s Arndale centre.

This is a huge growth area which we are tapping into with great success and gives our existing clients something new to advertise and sample their products.

We are currently working with the drinks giant Diageo and their brands – HH13, Guinness, Tanqueray, Cîroc, Smirnoff, Gordon’s and Johnnie Walker with some interesting projects involving branding wine bars.

We absolutely adore what we do and we will strive to produce stunning displays for our clients.

We look forward to hearing from those clients who want to push the boundaries.
