Jobs Fair success as more roles are filled on Brackmills

Vacancies and job hunters were successfully matched in March – with Brackmills Business Improvement District hosting its first Jobs Fair of 2022 at Northampton’s historic Delapré Abbey.

The jobs fair, which had been widely promoted across Northampton in the weeks leading up to it, attracted more than 100 delegates, with businesses including Clipper Logistics, DHL, Northants Fire and Rescue, GXO, Manheim Auctions, Hometech UK, Wincanton and Wheels to Work all exhibiting and promoting vacancies.

Brackmills Industrial Estate has Business Improvement District status, which means businesses on the estate pool an annual levy and use the funding to enhance the estate, in particular to:

n Support businesses and staff on the estate;

n Provide a great infrastructure;

n Invest in a safe and secure environment;

n Provide a smart and tidy estate.

Brackmills BID intends to hold at least one more Jobs Fair this year and is already planning a host of other events for the estate’s businesses.

“Here on Brackmills we are determined to both support people into work and to support those businesses needing staff,” says Brackmills BID chief executive Sara Homer. “Delapre Abbey as our venue really elevated our event and we look forward to partnering again with this incredible venue.”
