Business doubles for waste firm to focus on green credentials

Staff at waste management and recycling firm specialist Axil Integrated Services are celebrating as they welcome the firm’s 100th team member.

The recruitment is part of the company’s growth plans, having seen the Corby-based business double in size last year with its turnover rising from £11 million to £22 million.

Axil works with household names including Whirlpool, Birdseye, McLaren and LEVC, the makers of the iconic black cab. The company also provided waste services to several UK Covid testing sites.

Managing director Ed Pigg said: “The Environmental aspect within Environmental, Social and Governance is becoming a priority for many businesses. The UK government is targeting a 65 per cent municipal recycling rate by 2035 so waste segregation must be the focus for any proactive waste partner. We are working with a number of dynamic, forward-looking companies to help them achieve zero waste while reducing their operating costs.”
