Visitors pumped up by show stand

INFLUENTIAL decision makers in the marketing sector have been able to see first hand the work of leading exhibition specialists Nimlok.

The Wellingborough-based team were able to show they could ‘walk the walk’ when they exhibited at Marketing Week Live 2015 in London.

The Wellingborough-based team were able to show they could ‘walk the walk’ when they exhibited at Marketing Week Live 2015 in London. The exhibition, which attracted more than 5,000 marketing professionals, is a key event in Nimlok’s event calendar.

The campaign theme, Fuel Your Exhibitions, highlighted six key elements that are crucial if an exhibitor is to make the most of their investment: unique stand design, interactive content, themed promotions, a well-briefed team, speakers and seminars, social media and PR.

Nimlok’s Marketing Manager Clare Farthing said: “We’re proud of our 45-year legacy and have come a long way from simply being an exhibition stand builder. We’re now in the business of engagement, helping our customers make the most of their budgets and achieve tangible business returns. This means it’s our job to demonstrate best practice to our clients by showing the very best in stand design, intelligent data capture and digital engagement tools.

“This puts a lot of pressure on our own exhibition presence, as it has to be exactly right. Every element of our themed campaign fitted seamlessly together and delivered significant return on our investment.”

This success included more than 190 leads and 24 confirmed appointments, which were generated from Nimlok’s work not only at the event but in the run up to the showcase and in the following weeks.

The challenge for the production team was to bring the campaign message to life in 3D.

Clare said: “It was important that we made an impact on the show floor and stood out from the competition and were really practising what we preach in showcasing something unique and different.”

This meant the company’s production team, including expert carpenters, creating an eye-catching design which included bespoke petrol pumps hand-crafted in Nimlok’s factory. These housed a hub showcasing digital engagement tools and a screen displaying Nimlok’s best examples of stand design.

There was excellent feedback for a digital driving contest, with the highest scorer having the chance to win a Porsche Boxster for 72 hours, reinforced by one of the cars on display in the exhibition hall. Branded energy drinks helped amplify the Fuel For Exhibitions theme.

The show campaign was supported by an extensive marketing communications programme which included a contest on the company’s website.
