Housing plan wins go-ahead from planners

Outline planning permission for a 50-hectare housing-led development near Daventry has been secured.

The land will be developed for a sustainable urban extension of up to 1,100 dwellings, a two form entry primary school, and a local centre. The development will provide a substantial contribution towards West Northamponshire’s housing supply. Stepnell Developments have subsequently agreed the disposal of the site with Spitfire Homes.

Led by James Cook of Blacks Solicitors and working alongside Hawksmoor, Knight Frank and Nexus Planning, the firm’s specialist planning team supported construction firm Stepnell Developments Ltd to secure planning permission and the completion of the associated Section 106 Agreement.

Mr Cook said: “We were delighted to work closely with Hawksmoor, Knight Frank and Nexus Planning to secure the grant of planning permission for an important sustainable extension to Daventry. This allocated site will provide a significant contribution towards the district’s housing supply during the plan period.”
