INNOVATIVE ideas have enabled Stanley L Hunt Printers Ltd to thrive for nearly 100 years.

The Rushden-based business, celebrating its centenary in 2016, has continually enhanced and improved its printing facilities to ensure it can offer a comprehensive service at a competitive price.

The latest investment gives customers the opportunity to go online to order their products.

Managing Director Linda Watts, who has notched up 43 years at the printers, said: “We still believe there is real value in offering a personal service to customers but there are some who prefer to go online to order their work.

“In the past they might have placed their order with a faceless international printing company but now they can have the best of both worlds.”

This refreshing approach to business can be traced back to the company’s founder Stanley L Hunt who recognised the value of personal service and ongoing investment.

His granddaughter Marguerite Brown and husband Phil are now co-owners of the company and work closely with Linda and Commercial Director Bob Handshaw.

The printer firm offers a wide range of services from books, brochures and booklets to labels, tickets, menus, calendars and invitations.

The printers takes pride in its staff retention with a long-serving, loyal, skilled workforce including print room manager Dave Dorney who has completed 47 years service.

Linda said: “We take great pride in our work and respect that each customer will have different requirements. This means that each client can feel confident that they are getting the best advice to suit their products.”

The variety of print means customers can order quality products that suit their specific needs in a range of sizes from A1, A2 and A3 to A4 and A5. Mailing services are another option for customers including mail merge, collating, inserting and enveloping.

Linda said: “We make sure we talk to each customer to understand their needs. It might be a large business looking for a fresh look to their marketing material, an author looking to self-publish for the first time or a business wanting to print and distribute their leaflets.”
