TEMPORARY structure specialists Neptunus created a giant two-storey exhibition centre on London’s South Bank for designjunction 2018.
Show organisers said the ‘purpose-built super-structure was the largest and most ambitious build designjunction has ever undertaken presenting furniture, accessories, lighting and homewares in dedicated zones across two floors’.
The facility, including internal staircases, incorporated hospitality and VIP areas for the event that was staged over four days from September 20-23.
Launched in 2011 by a team of industry experts, designjunction connects the world’s most renowned design brands with some of the world’s leading architects, interior designers, specifiers and buyers.
The eighth edition of the critically-acclaimed show moved to the cultural hub of London’s South Bank where it was set across three venues. These consisted of the iconic Oxo Tower building, Riverside Walk and the temporary ‘super structure’ built by Neptunus which provided exhibition space for the 200 leading international brands taking part.
Neptunus’s technicians took just five days to construct a 3,360 square metre double decker structure providing a two-storey space where international design brands and premium pop-up shops displayed the very latest products. The interior had a deliberate minimalist style to blend in with the chic and trendy requirements of the designjunction concept.
