Law firm recognised

AT the recent NLS awards Wilson Browne was once again awarded the prestigious Northamptonshire Law Society Large Law Firm of the Year Award 2017. The awards focus on training and development of staff at all levels; growth in reputation including marketing, PR and advertising; external recognition from clients and other professional bodies; staff welfare; client initiatives that set the firm apart from others; community contribution including pro bono work, and more.

The judges valued:

* the wide range of involvement of partners and staff in the community;

* the firm’s charitable work;

* links with various training and business initiatives such as the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce and SEMLEP

* focus on people and skills development;

* industry sector growth and expertise;

* existing recognition, including this year’s national Law Society Excellence Awards shortlisting in two categories

* and feedback from client comments.

Since the Law Society Awards were re-launched four years ago, the firm has won the coveted Large Law Firm Of The Year Award twice; had Lisa Franklin awarded Young Lawyer Of The Year; and seen Kevin Rogers crowned Solicitor Of The Year, not to mention a number of shortlistings including Jamie Christie who was a finalist for Young Lawyer of the Year this year.

Kevin Rogers (current Solicitor Of The Year) presented this year’s Solicitor of the Year Award to his successor. The award is fittingly known as The Fiona Moore Award in tribute to a former Partner of the firm.

The firm has a strong belief that everyone, regardless of role or title, contributes to the success of the firm : pictured with the award are Sue Tyrer, Kettering Reception and Naomi Edwards, Marketing Executive.
