Part of the community

THE order book is filling up fast for Mineral Star Construction Limited, which means 2019 is going to be another successful year for the family-run business.

The Earls Barton-based company, set up in 1995 and headed up by Managing Director Antony Owen, has always ensured the community is at the heart of its operations.

Construction projects in 2018 were once again primarily in the public sector with work in schools and care homes as well as a bespoke high-quality residential property and private sector work for local blue-chip research and development companies.

Antony said: “Being part of the community is important to us so, with a local partnered supply chain and local workforce, we ensure that from the first meeting to the completion of our work and beyond that we provide a friendly, professional and collaborated service where the client and end user comes first.”

Mineral Star Construction have invested in the construction industry through its stream of apprentices attending Moulton College and have also invested heavily in its village base. This can be seen especially at grassroots football, which has seen the business provide 20 years of support both with financial assistance and lots of volunteer hours including Antony running five football teams and heavily involved as Club Chairman.

The village carnival, produce show and Royal British Legion all receive assistance each year as do many other local organisations.

Antony said: “Collaboration is at the heart of Mineral Star Construction, where teamwork from all parties bring the best results.”
