The family behind Andrews Office Furniture are justifiably proud of the ongoing success of their business which specialises in new and recycled office furniture.
The nine showrooms include one in Wellingborough Road, Northampton, where three floors are stocked with a wealth of chairs, desks and other office furniture, from filing cabinets to desk dividers and bench-style desks. Alongside the latest designs there is a large range of recycled furniture which has been sourced through the company’s network of stores in London.
The first shop was a small hut on London’s Edgware Road which Eddie Andrews opened for business in 1972. He saw the opportunity to open his own business after a stint as a delivery driver and now, as well as a busy e-commerce website, there are showrooms serving businesses in London, Essex and Northampton.
Today, Eddie is Managing Director, and his sons, Mark and Tony, are directors, joining the company after finishing their education. The committed workforce includes Northampton’s team of store manager Carl Prickett, who has nearly 30 years in the furniture industry, sales consultant Jonathan Hughes and Marcus Knight, driver and installations.
Eddie said: “The ethos has always been to provide top quality office furniture at reasonable prices, delivered to your door by our own team of drivers and expert furniture fitters.
“Most furniture companies that outsource deliveries are not aware of any issues until the customer complains. We think this is the wrong way to do business. At Andrews, we get immediate feedback from our drivers and expert fitters, should there be any issues that need resolving, so we can look to rectify them immediately.”
Next-day delivery is available, which is free locally for any orders over £250, and the furniture arrives ready to use or will be assembled on site. Plus, all packaging is removed and recycled by the installation team.
