Pledge will boost productivity

THE Government has pledged to create three million new apprenticeships to help young people into jobs and give a boost to UK productivity.

Northamptonshire has one of the fastest growing UK populations and needs to build 37,000 new houses by 2021. For the county’s young people, this means there has never been a better time to train for a career in construction locally.

Moulton College is well known for offering a range of apprentices at Intermediate and Advanced levels, but they have also quickly expanded their Higher Apprenticeship vacancies.

This has helped hundreds of students find success in their chosen career through their apprenticeship scheme which allows students to gain key skills and knowledge whilst working in the industry.

The College is dedicated to supporting anyone who is looking to gain experience and opportunities in their chosen field, working alongside the government to produce 3 million apprenticeships by 2020.

Charlie Waumsley trained in Civil Engineering at Moulton College, using the apprenticeship scheme. He is now a Trainee Engineer working for Bloor Homes, and puts his success down to the apprenticeship scheme.

Charlie said: “The opportunity has been fantastic because not only do I not come out with a bill at the end of it, but the experiences that I am going to gather from the next couple of years are just invaluable.”
