AFTER 50 years with the firm, Clive Adkins is retiring knowing that Kilby Fox Chartered Accountants is in a safe and experienced pair of hands.

Clive became a partner of the Northampton practice in 1978 and during that time welcomed trainee Martin Crooke to the team. Having spent over six years learning his trade, Martin left to gain experience elsewhere, returning after five years as Practice Manager, bringing new ideas and energy with him.

Now, with Clive moving on to a consultant's role that will allow him time to pursue his other interests, Martin becomes a Partner as well as taking on the role of heading up the Forensic Accounting team and continuing to grow his own portfolio of clients.

Martin said: "Clive has massive experience in the accounting sector and is a much-respected professional, a member of the Academy of Experts and an approved Expert Financial witness with NIFA.

"His will be difficult shoes to fill, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. My aim is to continue to grow the business, utilising the latest technology to streamline processes that give our business clients the means to reduce administration costs and free up time to concentrate on what they do best."

Kilby Fox prides itself on being a friendly, local accounting firm providing a wide range of services to individuals and to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors. Services include accounts, audits and assurance, taxation, business start-ups, bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and forensic accounting.
