Strong links with key business areas

TRACING the provision of legal services to business back almost 200 years, Wilson Browne Solicitors boasts five offices within easy reach of all three areas of Brackmills, Rushmills and The Lakes, with over 110 staff at Northampton, Grange Park and Kettering Venture Park. Further support for these areas comes from colleagues in Higham Ferrers and Wellingborough.

Wilson Browne Solicitors are Northamptonshire solicitors through and through. That’s why their partners and staff include countless school governors, a non-executive SEMLEP Director, a SEMLEP Enterprise Advisor, the President of the Northamptonshire Law Society and a non-executive Director of the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce, based opposite Brackmills.

Working closely with fellow professional service providers in the last 12 months, Wilson Browne have facilitated staff from both Cave & Sons and Haines Watts (both Rushmills) to go into local schools and share their time and knowledge free of charge with local students, inspiring them to become the next generation of lawyers, accountants and stockbrokers… maybe? Wilson Browne Solicitors are also proud to be Business Alliance Group Members of the Chamber, supporting businesses throughout Brackmills, Rushmills and of course the wider county.

Given the importance of the logistics sector, it was no surprise to see Wilson Browne sponsor the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards in 2017. Currently instructed on seven-figure litigation in the sector, Partner Kevin Rogers said: “Over the past five years our proven experience in logistics, coupled with our efforts to make sure local businesses are aware of that experience has really paid off in terms of new instructions.”

The Commercial Property Team acted in the multi-million pound purchase of part of the former cattle market auction site at Brackmills and subsequent redevelopment of a new central logistics hub for logistics company Dachser.

Managing Director Nick Lowe, said: “We are delighted with the timely legal advice and support that we have received during this large transaction, which helped the project run through smoothly.”

But it’s not all trucks and trailers – the firm also advises many other sectors and is pleased to count the Walker Group as a client. The privately owned Walker Group provides packing, packaging, storage, warehousing and logistics, Technicover protection products and removal services.

In relation to Andrew Kerr, Partner and head of the Company Commercial Team, Les Moss, Managing Director of The Walker Group said: “Wilson Browne Solicitors have provided excellent support to our business, successfully guiding us through an increasingly complex range of legal issues. They always have experienced experts available to help us ensure our business continues to develop correctly.”

Having achieved national recognition (currently shortlisted for the Law Society Excellence awards in Conveyancing and Communications) Wilson Browne Solicitors gives back where it can: whether it is a stone’s throw from The Lakes, at the Higham office being heavily involved in Higham Sparkle, to continued sponsorship of the Community Pride in Northamptonshire Awards; to the imminent Wilson Browne Golf Day, in aid of the Hope Centre, at the Collingtree Park Golf Club, supported by a number of clients and professional contacts from Rushmills and Brackmills – as well of course as the rest of the county!

Wilson Browne Solicitors look forward to providing all the help that their clients in Rushmills, Brackmills and beyond need, and would like to thank their clients and contacts in those areas for their support both in the expansion of the firm and with the firm’s charitable efforts.
