WHEN we started Pumpkin Print Sign and Display back in 2009 from humble beginnings in a small unit just outside Oundle at Barnwell Manor Estate, we obviously hoped the business would grow and achieve its potential. We did grow, and quickly, considering we started in the height of the global credit crisis.
So much so that within 18 months new premises were required to allow us to handle the client uplift and work efficiently without compromising on quality of product and speed of service.
After a few months pondering different options, Kettering, Rushden, Peterborough and even Kimbolton, we hit upon Corby. We looked at a number of units but none could even come close to Unit 4, Alpha Court for its build quality, location and visibility so without hesitation we signed up. The move to Corby turned out to be the catalyst to put the business on the next level. Suddenly we were no longer tucked away in a small village, albeit extremely idyllic, we were now on a growing trading estate located next door to Screwfix – handy.
With this newfound visibility and passing trade we have benefited tremendously from being based in Corby, its working class, manufacturing background sits well with us. The town is unrecognisable in places from those hard days back in the 70s and 80s. Investment in the town centre has given us many new retail clients and we can boast Rockingham Motor Speedway, Brooke Weston Trust, Urban & Civic/Priors Hall and, of course, Corby Borough Council as clients.
There are many others within this great town that have become good customers and friends over the last few years, this is not solely down to our quality service and products but is in part because we are based in the heart of this loyal and active Corby business community.
It’s a great place to live and work, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the opportunities it has afforded us, so from all of us at Pumpkin Print thank you for everything Corby.
