Benefiting from town’s growth

CORBY’S growth is proving to be good news for long-standing businesses like Brunel Signs.

The business, set up by Ian Day more than 30 years ago, makes the most of the opportunities that have been coming to the town. Corby’s rail link to London is proving to be a great asset and there will be further improvements once work is complete on the second line.

House developers are making the use of available land, with Corby now proving to be the fastest growing borough outside of London.

Ian said: “There is a lot happening in Corby. House building is going crazy and there are new companies moving into the town. These businesses are occupying not only new but some old units that have stood empty for years. They all need signs, which is good news for us.

“There are fewer empty shops around Corby which is also good news for landlords and, of course, sign makers.”

Brunel Signs, based for the last 15 years in St Mark’s Road, Corby, is known for offering a wide range of services from eye-catching logo signs adorning the fronts of buildings from factories to sports centres and schools.

The experienced team focuses on working with clients mainly in the Corby and Kettering areas which means time can be spent on maintaining standards and meeting deadlines.

Ian said: “We never say never but have found by concentrating on Corby and Kettering we can offer clients a wide range of signs and a high-quality service.”

The team at Brunel Signs are finding there is an increasing demand for product marking, for example short-run labels for manufacturers to put on their products. Another growth area is warning and safety instructions for machinery made in Corby.

Ian said: “The large number of food processing factories have specific requirements for safety, hygiene and quality assurance signage which ensures a regular mix of work and keeps us on our toes.”

The range of signs include factory and industrial signs, post-mounted signs and architectural lettering, outdoor advertising, food hygiene signage, product labelling and vehicle graphics.

To discuss individual requirements, contact Brunel Signs, which has extended opening hours from 8am to 5pm each weekday. Call 0800 0933 484 or see the website at www.brunelsigns.com
