The business has outgrown premises and relocated three times over the last eight years and has finally settled into 4,000 square ft of office and production space at the Alpha Court development which is handily placed adjacent to Screwfix.
In addition to making the company more visible and accessible, the new premises have allowed Pumpkin to invest in new equipment to enable them to work cleaner, smarter and more efficiently than ever before. The recent investment in a Maxicam BK3 flatbed cutter/router table has brought an end to outsourcing part of the production process and in turn doubled the production capacity overnight.
"The BK3 enables us to supply our customers with intricate cut-to-shape graphics and signage at a competitive rate without impacting on lead times," said Simon. "It’s a big investment for us but one we needed to make if we want to continue to grow and compete in this ever-evolving marketplace.
"We have a varied customer base but tend to work with companies from within the creative industries and as such we need to be offering services and products that are on trend and at the forefront when it comes to their look, feel and finish."
The Corby move has resulted in the customer base increasing vastly over the last two years with many local companies now benefiting from Pumpkin’s signage and graphic products and most notably their high levels of customer service.
