Classic day out for all

ALL roads will be leading to Daventry’s The Hollows on Saturday, 13 April as organisers gear up for the first ever Classic Car Show which will be hosted in Daventry.

Organised by Daventry’s Mayor, Cllr Lynn Jones, in conjunction with Daventry Town Council, spectators can take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and reflect upon the golden days of motoring by viewing the variety of classic cars on show.

Other attractions at the event will include a mini vintage craft market and a classic games tent (including giant Jenga and croquet), as well as live music from Daventry Brass Band and the Ukulele Orchestra. There will also be live performances from Daventry’s Starlight Dance Group – all car themed, of course! Alongside the entertainment and activities, entrants will also be able to tantalise their taste buds with a selection of vintage cuisine, including a vintage American style burger van.

Cllr Jones, Mayor of Daventry and Chair of Council, said: “I am very excited to be organising the first Classic Car Show in Daventry, alongside Daventry Town Council. We already have a diverse range of classic cars for the whole family to view and with the addition of the live entertainment, food stalls, and mini craft market, it is definitely going to be a fantastic day out. I am looking forward to welcoming you all to the event.”

Daventry’s Classic Car Show takes place at The Hollows on Saturday 13 April 2019, from 10am – 4pm. Admission for spectators is free. There is a small donation requested for those wishing to exhibit classic cars. For further information, call 01327 301246 or email
