IF the way to a sign writer’s heart is through their stomach, then Kettering firm KenSigns has found the perfect way to celebrate 35 years in business. Founded in 1979, the Sydney Street company began with founder Ken Moate and his box of paints and brushes and a step ladder. Over the years, the team has grown into a company that boasts personnel experienced in not only the traditional sign making skills but also in vehicle graphics, digital print and design and , one of the current growth areas, LED illuminations. To mark the anniversary, Ken Moate has planned a number of ‘Feasts’ to say thank you to his team. “I know the way to a sign writer’s heart and so we’ve got a number of treats planned over the next few months, including celebratory breakfasts, lunches, barbecues, afternoon teas and dinners,” said Ken. KenSigns is proud to be a family-run business and ensure that its ethos of every customer being as important as the next is always upheld. It has clients across the business spectrum, including retail, motoring, manufacturing, local authorities, NHS and leisure. In addition, the company is involved in a number of local charities and takes part in a number of events each year in aid of good causes. “Whatever the business or organisation, we can cater to their requirements,” said Ken. “We started off sign writing vans and shop fronts and have grown into a formidable company serving Northamptonshire and the surrounding regions. “We still have a few brushes left that we started with – but the majority of our work now is carried out using the latest computerised technology, and on all manner of materials. “Signs are still the best way of getting a business noticed, whether it’s on the exterior of a building where people see it as they go past, or on a company vehicle, promoting the company while drivers are out on the road.” KenSigns is at 76 Sydney Street, Kettering, telephone 01536 510609, or visit the website www.kensigns.co.uk
