HALLSDALE Insurance Brokers Ltd of Station Road, Kettering was founded 10 years ago by Tom Hall, Simon Drysdale and Andy Wright as a commercial insurance broker to provide an alternative to the one size fits all corporate attitude applied by a number of its competitors.
Tom Hall, who holds the prestigious Chartered Insurance Broker title, says that he views his industry as a profession and wanted to get back to providing good advice and service through experience and knowledge.
“We are a people business and we wanted to put people at the forefront of our operation,” he said. “Many changes have taken place since 2007 which have had a direct influence on the local economy, our clients and more specifically to insurance, but we are well placed to deal with them.”
Simon Drysdale believes that the financial crash 10 years ago is a testament to the strength of Hallsdale’s business model. Not only did they survive during this period, but prospered and are now recognised as one of the most professional brokers in the East Midlands. This has been enabled by state-of-the-art technology coupled with good old fashioned service.
This is evidenced by their achievement of Chartered Insurance Broker status, several live appearances on Radio Northampton and both Simon and Tom being Past Presidents of the Insurance Institute of Northampton. Tom is also currently Deputy Chairman of the British Insurance Brokers Association and the Chartered Insurance Institute Representative for the East Midlands.
Both directors are now strongly supported by their team of Angela May and Lewis Parker. Both Andy Wright and Pat McGuckin have now retired, but Tom and Simon would like to publicly thank them all for their help in making the business a success.
All the team know that they are only as good as the insurance markets they use, chosen for financial strength, underwriting flexibility and quality of claims service. In turn, Hallsdale have quality commercial clients who appreciate a bespoke service and whose loyalty and support has made the 10 year landmark achievable.
In celebration, the team are all taking a weekend break to Brussels in October.
