THE Bear and Beignet coffee house, the latest exciting new venture from Liquid Culture, opened its doors in August. Ten jobs will be created at the venue.

The creation is breathing new life into an empty pub, The Monk and Minstrel, which stands on the Kettering to Wellingborough Road in Isham. It will bring fresh opportunities for the company, which is spearheaded by directors Chris and Lisa Pruden. The couple are no strangers to the challenge of running cafes and believe they can put this experience to good use with their latest venture.

Lisa said: “The cafe is a perfect showcase for all our products and expertise and it will be the ideal place for us to bring our customers – a living catalogue. Liquid Culture believes in driving the business forward and we believe that business-to-business doesn’t have to be boring.

“We missed being on the frontline and we are looking forward to serving the public once again and getting their feedback about our range of products.”
Liquid Culture, specialising in its very own bespoke teas and coffees, works with a wide range of local businesses providing refreshment and machinery. The range will be available at Bear and Beignet, the name of the coffee house which was inspired by the food offering.

A beignet is a particular favourite in New Orleans where they were introduced by French colonists. Today, the sweet pastries are served with powdered sugar, coffee with chicory and cafe au lait.

The coffee specialists are enjoying huge success at the moment, particularly with their shop consultancies. The new venture will be an opportunity to run workshops and help the Liquid Culture team share their years of experience with clients, including cafés and restaurants.

The Liquid Culture team pride themselves on being a one stop shop and can work with companies to educate, support, design, develop and supply.
Lisa said: “If you’re a business serving refreshment to customers or staff, Liquid Culture can design and deliver your optimum refreshment service. We strongly believe every refreshment break deserves to be enjoyed – how totally refreshing.”
