WITH capacity at new levels thanks to expansion and investment in new machinery, Henderson Fabrications is eagerly looking forward to further success in 2019.
Uncertainty about the economy generally may be a factor for all businesses this year, but the team at the Moulton Park sheet metal firm is certain that everything that can be done to ensure ongoing success has been done and the company is ready for anything.
Managing Director Steve O'Looney said: "Over the past two years we have upgraded our manufacturing facility with an additional CNC punching machine and a new laser cutter and we've also introduced an upgraded Manufacturing Requirement Planning system that has increased administration efficiency.
"We have grown steadily over a number of years but it was clear to us that we needed to keep investing back into the company, to keep us up where we want to be and to help us deal with increased orders and enquiries.
"Who knows what Brexit will bring, but there's certainly been no sign of a slowdown yet, our annual turnover was up again and we are very much looking forward to more of the same in 2019."
Henderson Fabrications operates out of a 25,500 square feet factory premises in Kings Park Road, offering a complete concept to completion service, designing and creating prototypes where required, and seeing them through to production. Volumes range from a one-off product to a large run.
Four CNC punching machines can handle sheet metal up to 3000mm by 1500mm and up to 6mm thick on mild steel, aluminium and copper with accuracy within 0.02mm. Together with the laser cutter, they increase the firm's capacity to provide design, punching, folding, welding and laser cutting services for a range of sheet metals. The new laser cutter can cut up to 12mm mild steel, 4mm thick aluminium and 8mm thick stainless steel.
