County cricket to get a taste of something different

Tom Hewer Catering is excited to announce the award of the outside catering contract for Food and Drink at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. The deal has been done under the group’s Franks brand.

The contract comes on the back of the rapid growth of the business, which has seen its services  expand at Northampton Saints, along with now producing food at the home of football on the famous Wembley way.

The contract comes as no surprise to Ben Evans,  Director of Tom Hewer Catering: “Our standards are high, we believe that only the best produce should be served at events and stadia.

The contract comes as no surprise to Ben Evans,  Director of Tom Hewer Catering: “Our standards are high, we believe that only the best produce should be served at events and stadia. We are setting the bar high, hence why some of the biggest venues locally and nationally are working with us.”

It definitely is a fresh approach, with the meat being locally sourced and coming from their own butchers; plus, since early 2016 a professional baker has been brought onboard and now rolls and bread are produced in-house. Having this control over the quality is something that really makes the proposition from Tom Hewer Catering stand out; being in control of the supply chain means guarantees can be given to their clients.

Last year the group had one burger unit at the county ground.

“We really enjoyed being at the cricket last year, the cricket offers something unique, especially the T20.

The fans go crazy and the atmosphere on those nights is fantastic. Now we have the opportunity to work with the club to enhance the experience for the fans even more” commented Ben enthusiastically.

With the pavilion being refurbished, fans will now have an extensive food and drink offering. A new bar will be placed and food will be served next to the Franks stand, along with the speed bars and a marquee bar. There really is an air of excitement around the coming season down at the county ground and fans and businesses are encouraged to come and have a taste of what’s on offer.
