EXTENDING its factory premises on the Moulton Park Industrial Estate has allowed Henderson Fabrications space to add a second laser cutting machine to its range of equipment.
The Kings Park Road firm added an additional 5,500 square feet to its existing site last year, allowing it to create space for more machinery and to store materials before machining and while awaiting delivery.
Having invested in a CNC laser cutter in 2010, Henderson Fabrications found its workload increasing due to increased capacity, and took the decision to add a second machine to help cope with demand.

Managing Director Steve O’Looney said: “It was a big decision for us to buy our first laser cutter, it’s a lot of outlay and we were relying on it bringing in enough work to justify the purchase. It’s more than met our requirements, so much so that we have bought another one to run alongside it to meet demand from our customers.
“Having the extra space has been a major bonus for us, we’ve reintroduced a Trumpf CNC punching machine that we had put into storage, and now we have space for the new laser cutter, all helping to continue the growth and development of Henderson Fabrications.”
Henderson Fabrications’ 25,500 square feet factory premises provides design, punching, folding, welding and laser cutting services for a range of sheet metals.
The new laser cutter can cut up to 12mm mild steel, 4mm thick aluminium and 8mm thick stainless steel.
The team at Henderson offers a complete concept to completion service, designing and creating prototypes where required, and seeing them through to production. Volumes range from a one-off product to a large run.
