Key location will aid expansion

LAW firm Howes Percival demonstrated its commitment to growth and expansion in Northampton with a move late last year into new, bigger premises within the town.

Having been based in Cliftonville for more than 30 years, Howes Percival moved to the three-storey Nene House, at 4 Rushmills on a new 15-year lease. The building had been completely refurbished and configured to Howes Percival’s specification, including the construction of a new atrium to create a larger reception area. The decision to relocated to larger premises reaffirmed Howes Percival’s commitment to Northampton and the surrounding area where it has had a presence since 1790.

Gerald Couldrake, Corporate Partner in Northampton said: “Howes Percival is proud of its position in Northampton – we have expanded all our teams in the last couple of years from employment and corporate to commercial property and private client and the move sent a strong message to the local market. We had outgrown our old office in the town and now we have space to carry on investing in the business, which is fantastic for the team and for our clients.

“Rushmills is a great location for us – close to the town centre and with great transport links to the surrounding area and beyond. It is also a key location for lots of other professionals including banks and accountancy firms.”

In total, 65 staff have relocated to Nene House, including the Northampton corporate, property, employment, litigation and private client teams along with the firm’s centralised administrative staff and IT and accounts departments which support the firm’s five other offices across the country.

The 13,000 sq ft office space not only offers a modern, flexible and open-plan working environment with significantly more space, but also includes a seminar room that can seat up to 60 guests, a boardroom and four meeting rooms. A calendar of business forum and seminar events is already up and running, bringing a wealth of expert knowledge to other professional services and businesses from across the county.
