Lisa said: “Over the past three years we have steadily developed and improved the business, with two major refurbishments including the garden area, which was completed in June last year. This includes a vast covered seating area with external TV viewing.
“The internal refurbishment was eventually finished last November with the help of a great team of local tradesmen. Our aim was to expose all the original features of the building and highlight its wonderful character. All works were carried out by us, rather than being brewery funded, and it has been well received.”
The Crown and Cushion shows all the major sporting events via Sky Sports and BT Sport, along with At The Races and Racing UK.
Sunday evenings are karaoke night, and, in traditional community pub fashion, the pool table is always popular, remaining at 20p a game.
