Smart home brand arrives

A NEW smart home concession has officially opened inside luxury lifestyle store Bell of Northampton, on Kingsthorpe Road in the town.

The IndigoZest concession was created as part of the £250,000 extension to the Bell of Northampton store and offers smart home integration solutions for residential and commercial customers, including lighting, heating, security, TV and music. The team can also build a secure voice and managed data network infrastructure to seamlessly connect all your devices.

The concession is IndigoZest’s second showroom, with the other located at Sky House Design Centre in Amersham.

So far, the new Northampton concession has created three jobs and there are plans to recruit more engineers as the business grows. The official opening of IndigoZest also coincided with the company winning an award. Control4, leading manufacturers in the smart home industry, awarded IndigoZest Dealer of the Year in recognition of its ‘growth, commitment and professionalism’ at the annual ISE (integrated systems Europe) Expo in Amsterdam.

The launch event saw a combination of housing developers, architects and residential customers attend and enjoy prosecco on arrival, canapes by award-winning chef Dean Hoddle, and a CPD session on smart home technologies. Those in attendance also saw the unveiling of a demo smart kitchen, which was created in partnership with Bell of Northampton.

“IndigoZest was born out of an absolute passion for technology and how it can make your life simpler,” said Chhaya Landschultz, Marketing Director at IndigoZest.

“Receiving the award was humbling and pretty special. It is an incredible feeling to know that what we are doing, in particular with the positioning of our showrooms and our vision to educate and inform the end client, is being acknowledged. The timing of the award win coinciding with the opening of the Northampton showroom was perfect and has given us the encouragement to continue to explain the changes required to live in a modern connected home and the benefits of a professionally installed smart home solution.

“We sell solutions first and foremost. Unlike off the shelf, WiFi enabled products where you are able to have one app control one service, the solutions that IndigoZest offer are hard-wired and offer control from a single interface. When all the integrated services can talk to each and be controlled from a single app, for example when you turn your alarm on to leave the house, it can drop your heating, close your blinds and set a random lighting pattern to give the feeling of an occupied home – that is when your home becomes smart. The benefits of a hard-wired solution are that it offers reliable control and you are not relying purely on WiFi to fight through building materials and reliance on the cloud.

“Even though we are known as smart home technologists, what we actually offer is the opportunity to live in an intelligent, connected home that responds to the way you live with all of the modern devices in your home working effectively together. The best way to understand and appreciate the benefits of a smart home is to experience it. Our new showroom can really demonstrate all a smart home can offer. We would encourage people to come and talk to us and experience the possibilities first-hand.”
