MARIO’S Ice Cream has spent nearly 50 years ensuring it has the recipe to make its products irresistible.

The business started in a kitchen, where batches of ice cream were created to sell in the lone van. Now, decades later, the third generation of the family are continuing the tradition using their well-tried recipes.

And while traditional processes and recipes are still at the heart of the company’s success it has made the most of modern technology to meet growing demand.

The doors opened at its new ice cream factory in Tyne Road, Northampton, to enable even more delicious products to be created.

Alongside the popular ice cream the business also creates ice and milk lollies in a variety of flavours to tempt the tastebuds.

Options include anything from favourites like strawberry, to lager and lime and cherry brandy.

Pietro Brindisi said: “We take real pride in our ice creams and our other products and are always happy to talk to new clients about the range or to discuss other flavours which will satisfy their requirements.”

Mario’s Ice Cream now have a fleet of ice cream vans which are a familiar sight at many events across Northamptonshire. “We can cater for all types of events of any size across Northamptonshire including fetes and festivals. We are often able to attend corporate events and couples love to book us for their wedding day reception.”

The company’s own brand ice cream is served – either scoop or soft serve, ice lollies and, if required, a selection of other brand products.
