IN recognition of the increasing awareness surrounding mental health and changing nutritional attitudes, Whittlebury Park organised two networking events aimed at event bookers, PAs, HR managers, and existing corporate clients, as well as their Leisure Club and golf members.
The Northamptonshire-based estate is also rolling out a programme to train their own staff to be able to deliver mental health first aid at work in order to benefit its over 400 employees.
The two Connect Events hosted by Whittlebury Park aim to highlight the importance of nutrition and mindset for teams and individuals. The first event, the Let's Talk Nutrition event, led by guest speaker Nutritionist Natalie Coghlan took place on 18 June, while Health Coach Lisa Davies will be speaking at the Let's Talk Mindset event on 2 July.
The format will be workshop-based, will offer advice and guidance for those looking to introduce a personal or professional change for themselves or for their team. Attendees will come away with new ideas and tips to help them on their journey whether this is through nutritional changes or self-development. There will also be time to ask questions and an optional tour of Whittlebury's conference and events facilities.
Whittlebury Park itself is investing in its own team by training key members of staff with Mental Health First Aid England. Over the course of a two-day workshop, Whittlebury's staff will gain practical experience, learn about challenging real-life topics and be given the tools to create a healthy and safe workplace in which employees will thrive.
Head of Health and Safety at Whittlebury Park, Richard Pyne, said: "We always strive to be a responsible employer, and keeping ourselves up to date with how we can help our employees is something that we consider to be very important. Having multiple staff trained and ready to help anyone who feels they need some support is an asset to our business, and we will continually improve and review our mental health policies and procedures on a regular basis."
Free places at the Connect Event can be booked by visiting the Whittlebury Park website
