Further order reflects service

FOLLOWING an initial deal earlier this year, logistics company Freightroute has placed an order for a further 10 machines from Wellingborough fork-lift supplier Hitec Lift Trucks.

Having taken delivery of 20 new trucks, Freightroute returned to the dealership for the second phase of the renewal of its machines.

Prospero Girardi, Managing Director of Hitec, said: “Freightroute were more than pleased with the Cesab trucks they bought earlier in the year and were happy to return to both Hitec and Cesab for the remainder of their fleet.

“It is testament to the quality of the Cesab brand, and to the sales and after-sales service customers get from Hitec that they are keen to continue the rest of their investment with us.

“Freightroute are a Wellingborough-based company but they have depots throughout the UK. Because we are part of the Cesab dealership network we could work with the company to supply all of their sites, not just the local ones, and then provide the support they need, wherever they might be.”

As well as providing the trucks, Hitec offers a bespoke maintenance programme to suit the firm’s requirements.

“This is part of a very successful year for us,” said Prospero. “We had high targets at the beginning and we have already reached where we wanted to be with something like five months of the financial year still to go.

“In general, there is an air of positivity now, with companies feeling ready to invest in new units or hiring more trucks to cope with a growing workload. The run-up to Christmas, which is always a busy time for us, particularly in the retail and food sectors, has been very busy and that’s good news for us and for the business scene generally.”
