The family-run company on the Finedon Road Industrial Estate took the decision to remain open to both account and non-account customers after introducing safety rules for those visiting the premises.
Director Dee Legg said: “We took this decision as several of our customers are working or producing equipment for the essential food and health industries. After adapting the trade counter to meet with the two-metre distancing regulations and putting other safety features in place that we could, we are open for business as usual and want people to know that they can still call in and pick up whatever they require.
“All of our items are on the website, and stock availability is good as our supply chain is currently unaffected. If our customers prefer to order via email or telephone we will endeavour to have their order ready for collection to keep waiting times at our trade counter to a minimum.
“We’re open to everyone, not just account customers”.
Emfast stocks a vast range, including nuts, bolts, screws and rivets both blind and solid type as well as associated engineering adhesives, abrasives, hand tools, lubricants, safety wear and construction fixings.
