Annual sales figures set by CESAB, for which Hitec is the Northamptonshire distributor, were not only met but were 45 per cent higher than the original goal set.
As a result, Hitec has set about expanding and diversifying in both personnel and stock and has added another four brand new machines to its casual fleet, following the addition of eight new machines last year, adding up to the biggest expansion to the casual hire fleet since the slowdown in 2009.
Managing Director Prospero Girardi said: “Every company sets targets, forecasts and projected revenues, as do the suppliers of the machinery. To meet our own targets and exceed that of the manufacturers by so much shows what a phenomenal year we had.
“We also fulfilled a major order for Freightroute, a Wellingborough firm with depots across the UK, and on the back of that, they have placed an order for another 10 units, completing their transition to new units across the whole fleet.
“This is one of the benefits of being part of the wider CESAB network. We can fulfil orders across the UK in the knowledge that we can call on others in the network to help with supply, after sales, servicing and repairs.”
