Jeff, who tragically passed away in January, was known to many people in the county and beyond for his dedication to providing the best possible levels of service to the firm’s customers nationwide.
Leadership of the company now falls to Jeff’s wife, Vita, who, along with
Managing Director Tony Butler and the Whitco management team, intends to see that the company’s vision and its 2020 goals and objectives are met, and to ensure that the long-term future beyond this is as dynamic and innovative as the previous 22 years.
Whitco Ltd supplies, installs, maintains and services food preparation and storage equipment and has a wide-ranging customer portfolio for hotels, independent restaurants and cafes, as well major projects for prisons, schools, colleges, universities and hospitals as well as extending its services to become an expert locally and nationally not just in commercial kitchens and bakeries but in any food retailer from cocktail bars and wine merchants to coffee shops and garden centre restaurants.
The company works with respected names in the industry such as Electrolux, Rational, Foster, Hobart, Angelo Po, Falcon and Mieko and runs regular events in its purpose-built demonstration kitchen to showcase these products. In addition, Whitco, which employs 30 staff, provides an ever-expanding consultancy service, assisting customers from the design stage through to project management, installation, staff training and after sales service.
