Collins Fresh Produce supplies products to the pubs, restaurants, hotels, independent and corporate catering organizations, airlines, sports stadia, Ministry of Defense, hospitals and corporate clients in the motorsport industry. The range includes fruit and vegetables, bakery products from sliced loaves to speciality products, drinks, dairy, oils, sauces and flowers.
The company is a primary importer, receiving goods from within the UK and internationally 24 hours a day.
Investment in the firm’s Moulton Park warehouse reflects growth of around 15 per cent per year. The total cold chain system means that goods come into the warehouse from refrigerated transport and remain refrigerated throughout their time in storage, which can vary from a few hours to two or three days, they are then dispatched via refrigerated transport.
The company recently invested heavily converting their whole premises to a temperature controlled environment. Out went the cold rooms to be replaced by a complete fully paneled and insulated lining supported by the latest computerized air cooling equipment.
