Law firm voices its delight at Business Times return

Wilson Browne Solicitors are delighted to rekindle their relationship with Business Times following its acquisition by Martin and Kerry Lewis-Stevenson.

Following a hiatus during lockdown when print and traditional methods of circulation were not practical, the leading local law firm has picked up where it left off, with a long-term commitment to support and advertise in Business Times, Northamptonshire’s longest-established business publication.

The decision follows a meeting at the Back2Business exhibition in September organised by Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce at which Wilson Browne’s business development and marketing director Wayne Jenkins and Martin Lewis-Stevenson, co-director of Business Times, had the opportunity to meet and discuss Martin’s plans for the Business Times and other publications in the portfolio.

“The first lockdown hit all printed media really hard,” says Wayne. “Many were forced to stop publishing due to external factors and the obvious challenges in distribution and that led to us having a bit of a break in terms of advertising. Meeting Martin and Kerry at the expo was a great opportunity to hear their very positive plans for the publication and especially the significant investment in ‘digital’ with their Corby-based partner Square Media.

“It all sounds very exciting and the investment and the detailed plans for moving the titles forward convinced me that we should get back on board.

“I am a great believer in the old saying that ‘People buy people’. I really warmed to Martin and Kerry, their enthusiasm for what they are doing, their plans and their commitment convinced me. Martin and Kerry are both keen motorcyclists too and as a lifelong ‘biker’ myself I instantly felt comfortable with them.”

Plans are under way for a big investment in the digital element of Business Times, its sister business publication in Milton Keynes, Business MK and the two lifestyle magazines in the portfolio, NN Pulse and MK Pulse. A big part of the investment is already both attracting new and welcoming back former contributors and advertisers.

“We are delighted to have Wilson Browne Solicitors back as a client,” says Martin. “As one of the leading law firms in the region and one with such a prominent profile, we feel it is a perfect partnership.

“Kerry and I are really enthusiastic about working with them. We are certain that they will benefit from even more exposure and I am sure our readers will find their legal insights valuable.”
